GH Spoilers: PCPD has found the ᴋɪʟʟᴇʀ who sʜᴏᴛ Drew, identity terrifying

It was the shot heard ’round the world — or at least Port Charles. In the new General Hospital promo, the ABC soap revealed that town pariah Drew Cain is finally served his just deserts via a bullet to the back.

 The show wants us to ask “Whodunit?” But being the savvy daytime aficionados that we are, we already know, don’t we?

Who Shot Drew? The Answer Is Obvious!

General Hospital isn’t going to make the would-be killer someone that it doesn’t want to write off to serve time behind bars. (As if anyone in Port Charles ever pays for their crimes.)

But it would make Drew’s assailant someone that it has to write off, anyway: Monica Quartermaine.

Since the real-life passing of beloved vet Leslie Charleson in January, it’s only been a matter of time until the show has to address the loss on screen. What better way to honor the longtime MVP than by allowing Monica to go out with a bang.

Why Would Monica Want Drew Dead?

Monica would want her sorta son pushing up daisies for the same reasons everyone else in Port Charles does: He’s a remorseless menace to society who thinks of only three things: what he wants, what he wants and what he wants! (Review his long list of dirty deeds.)

Yes, Monica loved him as she did twin brother Jason Morgan, late husband Alan’s son with his onetime mistress. But the doc’s been as disgusted by Drew’s behavior as all of her friends and neighbors.

And it isn’t like she hasn’t been known to become dangerous; just ask Dr. Pierce Dorman. (Review Monica’s “colorful” past.)

No one would suspect Monica, either. The PCPD would assume that she was still bedridden — and maybe she would be at the time of the attack on Drew.

But we all know that she could have used devoted manservant Yuri’s hand to pull the trigger for her.

Monica could then lie on her deathbed that her anger at Drew had given her the strength to commit the crime, thus getting her bodyguard off the hook.
