ONE hous ago!! The family shared the devastating news of the passing of a legendary GH actor. Farewell in tears
Remembering June Lockhart
Lockhart was known to soap fans as GH’s Mariah Ramirez, a role she held from 1984-2000. Mariah was the grandmother to Felicia (Kristina Wagner), and the namesake of Maxie (Kirsten Storms, who recently took a leave from GH), whose real name is Mariah Maximiliana Jones.
Mariah’s husband was Maximilian Ramirez, who was never seen on screen, and who Maxie’s middle name comes from.

After Lockhart’s time in Port Charles came to an end in 2000, the character later died off screen in 2007.
Aside from daytime, Lockhart was best known for her roles in films such as 1954’s Lassie, 1944’s Meet Me in St. Louis, and 1934’s A Christmas Carol. The actress, whose career spanned nine decades across television, film, and theater, also starred as Maureen in the series Lost in Space.
Lockhart was a two-time Emmy Award nominee, a Tony Award recipient, and received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lockhart celebrated her 100th birthday on June 25, and according to NBC News, died of natural causes in her Santa Monica, CA home on Thursday, October 23.
GH fans took to X (formerly Twitter) with memories of Lockhart’s time on GH.
“RIP to the legendary June Lockhart who played Felicia’s grandmother Mariah Ramirez on #GH,” one fan wrote along with still of Lockhart’s Mariah with Wagner’s Felicia and Genie Francis’ Laura.
“Oh. I loved Mariah RIP,” wrote another, sharing a GIF from a GH episode featuring Mariah, Felicia, Sean (the late John Reilly), and more.
