Very Shocking! Chad Duell Breaks Silence After Hiatus GH — “The Next One’s Big!”

💫 Chad Duell Breaks His Silence: Former GH Star Returns to Social Media With Hopeful New Message

General Hospital fans will never forget the last time they saw Chad Duell onscreen in Port Charles as Michael Corinthos.

It was January 21, 2025, when Michael made the heartbreaking decision to leave town and enter a specialized burn unit in Germany following the devastating explosion.

While many viewers held out hope that Duell would eventually reprise his iconic role, Michael’s brief return at the Nurses Ball on May 23 came with a surprise twist — it wasn’t Duell fans saw, but The Young and the Restless alum Rory Gibson, who stepped into the role and has since made it his own.

After officially stepping away from daytime, Duell stayed in touch with fans during the early stages of his next life chapter, before quietly disappearing from social media. His last Instagram post dated back to September 2025 — until now.

This week, Chad Duell made a surprise return online, sharing a relaxed photo of himself dressed in a white tank top, jeans, and a black cowboy hat, along with a heartfelt message to followers:

“Been off the socials for a while. Always good to take a bit of a break from all the noise. Hope everyone had a good holiday season. Happy New Year. Next one’s going to be a good one.”

The post immediately sparked excitement among longtime GH viewers, who were thrilled to see Duell reemerge and sounding optimistic about what lies ahead.

While his future in acting remains open-ended, one role is already keeping him busier than ever — being a dad. Duell is now navigating life with his young son Dawson, who’s officially entered toddler territory, ensuring plenty of adventure and full hands for the proud father.

No matter where life takes him next, fans remain confident Chad Duell will continue to do amazing things — both on and off screen.

From Port Charles to fatherhood and beyond, we’re sending him nothing but love and best wishes on his journey forward.
