General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the mystery of Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) true identity still needs to unravel. GH fans have had questions ever since Nathan suddenly resurfaced, especially since there are good reasons to believe he’s not the real deal.

Nathan’s DNA and fingerprints supposedly matched, but that’s something Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) could’ve arranged as “proof.”

Cullum might also be responsible for removing Nathan’s body from his grave to back up the story that he survived.

Regardless, the writers have been dropping plenty of hints to make viewers suspicious of Nathan.

Here are eight facts that prove Nathan is an imposter and that a big reveal is on the way.

1) Nervous Britt initially tried to keep James away from Nathan

For starters, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seemed anxious around Nathan when they first reunited.

There was definitely a sense that Britt knew more than she was letting on.

Britt initially tried to keep James West (Gary James Fuller) away from Nathan, which definitely felt like a red flag.

There must’ve been a reason why Britt tried to stand in the way of Nathan and James’ father-son bonding.

2) Nathan forgot all about Maxie love and fell hard for Lulu quickly

Since Nathan claims he doesn’t remember those missing seven years, it was supposedly like no time had gone by for him.

That’s why it makes no sense for Nathan, who was madly in love with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) once upon a time, to just forget all about her and fall for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) so fast.

3) Nathan broke chain of custody and claimed to be rusty on detective protocol

Another imposter clue involved Nathan leaving a cigarette butt in his car and breaking the chain of evidence on a case.

When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) scolded Nathan for that, Nathan acted like he was rusty on police protocol.

However, there’s no reason Nathan should’ve been rusty if he woke up thinking he was still living his old life seven years prior.

Nathan should’ve still had all the detective knowledge and skills he needed to hit the ground running at the PCPD.

4) Nathan’s father story didn’t add up and confused Lulu

When Nathan got stranded with Lulu during the blizzard, he recited the periodic table from memory and claimed his father used to drill it into him as a kid.

Lulu was puzzled since Nathan previously told her that his adoptive dad never paid much attention to him.

Nathan then claimed his father tried to push him toward science and lost interest when he realized Nathan’s skills didn’t go beyond memorization.

It felt like Nathan was trying to cover after slipping up with Lulu.

5) Nathan’s strange declaration before first Lulu kiss

Before Nathan shared his first kiss with Lulu, he made a rather peculiar declaration to her.

Nathan insisted he wanted nothing more than to be the man she saw him as.

That was just such a weird way to phrase things and make it seem like he was an imposter posing as Nathan.

6) Liesl faced Nathan’s explosive outburst

At the Metro Court, Nathan lost his temper with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in a way that seemed odd.

When Liesl tried to push Nathan back toward Maxie for James’ sake, Nathan blew up at her and even snapped about her parenting skills.

It seemed out of character for Nathan to go off like that, especially on his dear mutter!

7) Maxie admitted Nathan seemed off

After Maxie found out about Nathan and Lulu’s romance, she reflected on how things felt off with Nathan when she first saw him again.

Now Maxie assumes it was because Nathan was hiding his feelings for Lulu, but maybe it was because he’s not the real Nathan at all.

8) Former power-hitter Nathan suddenly can’t hit a ball

When Nathan took James to the batting cages, he repeatedly tried to avoid swinging at a ball himself.

James was so adamant about seeing the former PCPD power-hitter in action that Nathan finally had to cave in.

That led to Nathan totally missing the ball and having terrible form.

It felt like Nathan had never swung a bat in his life, so this doesn’t like up with the Nathan we knew before.

Nathan once again tried to cover by acting like he was rusty, but there’s obviously more going on here.
