TJ Ashford’s Overseas Exit Confirmed, General Hospital Fans React to Jordan’s Son Skipping Return Trip

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans got some big news about a character who’s been off-screen for a while now. Many viewers were wondering how the show would choose to handle the TJ Ashford (last played by Tajh Bellow) situation after Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash.

Jordan’s injuries brought plenty of scary moments for her loved ones and left fans thinking TJ should be there for his mom’s crisis.

Of course, Tajh Bellow was taken off contract back in 2025 and ultimately vanished from the canvas.

Although GH writers didn’t provide a full explanation for TJ’s absence, they did have Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) mention that TJ was overseas.

Curtis admitted it took a lot of convincing, but TJ eventually agreed he wouldn’t make the trip home.

That was a good thing as far as Jordan was concerned since she didn’t want TJ making the long flight when she’s going to be fine.

Even so, some fans have been complaining on social media and insisting that TJ should’ve been there for Jordan during this emergency.

It’s nice that the show at least offered this overseas excuse, but it would’ve been better if TJ could’ve made even a quick return for Jordan’s latest storyline.

Some fans even feel like TJ should be back in Port Charles full-time, but the show clearly doesn’t seem interested in giving him new material at this point.

That could change somewhere down the line, so we’ll keep you posted on TJ’s future – even if it’s in recast form.

There may come a point when TJ can’t miss any more family drama back home, so we’ll see what happens from here.

For now, TJ will remain overseas, where he’s presumably working.

Whether TJ is part of Doctors Without Borders or finding some other way to save lives, we can assume he’s off making a difference in the world.
