As Steffy Orders Taylor and Deacon to Stay Away From One Another — Ruh-Roh — Sheila Makes a Game-Changing Discovery

Wednesday, April 1, 2026: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila whips out a calculator and adds one plus one. Not coincidentally, Steffy fears Taylor and Deacon have come up with a formula for disaster!

As the episode begins, Steffy catches Taylor finishing up a call with Deacon. (“No, you hang up first!”) Suffice it to say, Steffy is not pleased. As soon as Deacon disconnects, Hope and Deke show up at his and Sheila’s apartment looking for explanations at to why Dad was so freaked out. “It has something to do with Sheila, doesn’t it?” Hope asks. Well, duh. At that very moment, Sheila’s down in the restaurant staring at pizza as if it can solve the riddle of the sphinx. Your husband’s cheating on you, lady! C’mon, didn’t she used to be smart?

Sheila Plays Detective

Following the opening credits, we pick back up with Hope and Deke going on and on about their worries. Despite how hard the sibs have pushed for Dad to be with Taylor, they seem shocked — altogether shocked! — that he’d have actually been with her. What’s more, they can’t believe that the illicit lovebirds were almost caught by Sheila.

Um, what did they think was going to happen?

On a related note, Steffy is pleading with Taylor to tell her that her call with Deacon would be her last. Ha. Not likely. Meanwhile, Sheila is slowly connecting the dots, asking a waiter whether he delivered a pizza to Finn’s house the previous night. Nope, he says. Gee, so how on earth did a pizza box get into the cliff house?

Hope and Deke Change Their Tune

Midway through the show, Steffy sings Taylor another chorus of “I care about you, don’t get killed by Sheila!” Mom’s defense? “Deacon called me!” Nice try. But of course Steffy is sensibly unyielding on this topic. “You can’t bring Sheila back into our lives!” As if she ever really left.

At Deacon and Sheila’s apartment, he recaps the night before for Hope and Deke, who suddenly are opposed to the pairing. Apparently, Sheila wielding a knife is all is takes to sway the brother/sister act. Down in the restaurant, ominous music plays as the madwoman scorned comes closer and closer to realizing the whole awful truth.

The Sheila of yore would have smelled a rat a mile away!

Steffy Lays Down the Law — Yes, Again

When Steffy wonders aloud what Ridge would have to say about this latest turn of events, Taylor puts her foot down, saying he doesn’t get a say in her life. Fair. So Steffy again threatens Taylor with shutting her out of her grandkids’ lives. “We were safe,” she insists. “You weren’t,” though, Steffy fires back. She can’t hear any more of her mom’s “But I love him” BS.

“No changing your mind,” Steffy tells Taylor. “You need Deacon out of your life once and for all.”

Across town, Hope and Deke suddenly sound like Steffy did when she warned her stepsister of the dangers of a Deacon/Taylor pairing. Deacon insists he’ll do whatever it takes to keep Taylor safe. Well, except for no longer seeing her. That appears to be out of the question.

Steffy Orders Deacon Into Her Office

At Il Giardino, Sheila plays merry restaurateur — because who doesn’t want a murderess checking in on how they like their linguini? — and cuts limes with a scarily large knife. In the episode’s final moments, Hope and Deke are back at Brooke’s lamenting how difficult it is now that they’ve realized what Steffy knew from the start: that Deacon and Taylor’s relationship is too dangerous to continue.

Can we resurrect Stephanie at least long enough to smack these two?

While Taylor flashes back to her recent scare, Sheila focuses and refocuses on that damn pizza box — like it couldn’t have been at the cliff house for days. Finally, Deacon shows up at Forrester on Steffy’s orders. She’s not worried, she says, she’s terrified. “You lured my mom into bed.”

Steffy doesn’t want to listen but to talk. Yell, really. Deacon married someone deranged, that’s on him. But now he’s putting Taylor in jeopardy. “I am begging you,” Steffy says, “stay away from my mother. You wanna cheat on your wife? Do it — just not with Taylor.”

Deacon’s Really ‘Stepped In It’ This Time

Last but not least, we follow Sheila into her and Deacon’s apartment, where she searches the desk but comes up empty. Then she spots her husband’s boots… somehow still covered in sand from the night before. Who wants to tell the show that sand, once dried, would not still be stuck to the footwear? Anyway, the music tells us in no uncertain terms that at last Sheila is onto her unfaithful spouse.
