B&B Tragedy May Be Paving the Way for the Return of Some Long-Gone Characters

When One Door Closes…
We’re still not convinced that The Bold and the Beautiful is really going to kill off Liam. Why would the powers that be ever let go of an actor as talented as Scott Clifton? The only reason we can think of is that the show is about to switch gears and shine a spotlight on some characters who are long gone, if not forgotten. Consider…
Forrester’s Arch-Frenemies
The OG Sally is off globe-trotting, and her namesake grand-niece is busy on Young & Restless. But Forrester Creations desperately needs some competition. Perhaps Sally the First’s son C.J. could take a turn trying to relaunch Spectra Creations and bring in a designer with whom he shares a past. Are you think who we’re thinking?
Yes, Amber, of Course!
It’s been far too long since Adrienne Frantz’s character stirred the pot. And if Amber made a U-turn back to L.A., she could upend old flame Deacon’s marriage to Sheila, bring her Ambrosia line to Spectra Creations and, as an added bonus, reintroduce to the canvas Deacon’s son Eric (aka Little D).
A Chip Off the Ol’ Block
Born in 1999, Deacon’s son with Amber’s late cousin Becky would be in his mid-20s now. If he takes after his pop, imagine the kind of hell that he could raise with Luna. Deacon might even have to turn to bad-idea factory Amber to try to steer Little D back onto the straight and narrow. Maybe Young & Restless’ Rory Gibson (ex-Noah) could take on the role?
Time to Open Buckingham Palace
How is Grace the only member of this family who is left on the canvas? Wouldn’t Zoe have heard about Carter and Quinn’s breakup by now and come back to see if she and her ex could start over? Wouldn’t Thomas have brought Paris back to L.A. to marry her in the Forrester living room like everyone else? Yes and yes — with Grace butting in at every turn!
When the Moon Hits Your Eye Like a Big Pizza Pie…
… that’s Marone. We already know that Jack Wagner will soon be reprising his role of Ridge’s half brother Nick this summer. Suppose Brooke’s lost love doesn’t come back to Los Angeles alone. For instance, what if he brought with him someone who has complicated ties to both Brooke and Taylor. Someone like…
The Forgotten Son
Remember when Nick was married Taylor, and owing to a lab mix-up, she ended up giving birth to Brooke’s biological son? Well, Jack would be a young adult now — in other words, the perfect age to get mixed up with everyone from Electra and Will to Luna and Remy. And wouldn’t General Hospital alum William Lipton (ex-Cameron) be perfect for the role?
Near Mrs.
Since Joseph Mascolo passed away, Bold & Beautiful couldn’t bring back Nick and Ridge’s father, Massimo. But it could rehire Lesley-Anne Down as Nick’s mother, Jackie — and turn her loose once again on Eric. He’s happily hitched to Donna now, but he’s always had a wandering eye — two of ’em whenever Jackie was in the room.
It’s Oz-tensibly Possible…
… that Marone cousin Oz could be returned to the canvas. From the jump, he’d be stalked by conflict (since Deacon’s wife Macy died performing at his club opening) and ripe for romance (since he has a past with lovelorn Bridget… who also has a past with Nick).
Absentee Parents
Does Zende even talk to his folks, Kristen and Tony? We might finally find out if a newly divorced Kristen came back to L.A. — maybe played by Tamara Braun (ex-Ava, Days of Our Lives) — and started throwing sparks with Bill, aka the Stallion that the show has all but put out to pasture.
The Best-Laid Plans
If Tony — now played by Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Rey, Young & Restless) — followed Kristen to L.A. in hopes of winning her back, he might instead find himself drawn to Taylor, whose efforts as a world-renowned psychiatrist to save his marriage could lead to him proposing to her instead.
The Ex Factor
How Bold & Beautiful didn’t have Rick come back to squabble over the Forrester Creations coup, we’ll never understand. But there’s still lots of fussing and feuding to be done if someone like Chad Michael Murray were to be recast in the role. (Here’s why Jacob Young would be unlikely to come back.)
My, My, Maya
If Rick was back in L.A., we’d have to get his former wife Maya back, too, right, if only to find out what broke them up off screen. Karla Mosley has explained why she wouldn’t want to reprise the role, but Pose vet Indya Moore would slay in the part of the scheming Forrester model.
Wicked Stepfather?
It’s always stuck with Clifton that when Liam was asked about his stepfather, all he said was that he was a very nice man. But what if he wasn’t… and isn’t? As Liam inches ever closer to the grave, a soap vet like Grayson McCouch could be cast as the ne’er-do-well who says he wants to make amends… but really wants to seduce any of the wealthy women in his son’s orbit. (Hey, Katie… )
The Bro Code
Carter’s life has been more or less nonstop upheaval lately. So why not send him a support system in adopted brother Marcus… who is Donna and Justin’s son as well as Eric’s adopted son. If Marcus’ marriage to Dayzee wilted like a bouquet of flowers, he and Carter could paint the town red and act as one another’s wingman.
The Prodigal Daughter Returns
It’s been almost a decade since Felicia spent any time in the City of Angels with dad Eric and her sibs. If she finally became homesick, she could be recast with Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam, General Hospital), move into her father’s mansion and drive Donna crazy by serving as an obstacle to a reunion between her sister Brooke and Nick.
They Grow Up So Fast
Needless to say, Felicia wouldn’t return alone, she’d bring son Dino — maybe played by Zach Tinker (ex-Fen, Young & Restless) — to mix it up with the show’s younger leading ladies… even as he’s falling for older woman Taylor. If Uncle Ridge screws up at all, Dino wouldn’t hesitate to make his move!
