General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there are at least three characters who need a new storyline. These fierce women deserve more than the material they’re getting right now, so let’s talk about how GH writers could shake things up for them.
1) Elizabeth
For starters, there’s Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who pretty much exists to clash with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) occasionally and offer Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) or Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) advice.
Liz has become a character who primarily serves as a confidant, so she doesn’t have a story of her own at the moment.
Plenty of fans would like to see Rebecca Herbst get a chance to shine with some fresh material.
Whether she gets a new romance or lands in some dramatic situation, it’d be nice to see Elizabeth do more than just work at GH and chat with co-workers.
2) Trina
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is another character who could use better material than she’s been receiving lately.
Although Trina is involved in the Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) whodunit story through the secret she’s keeping with Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), the show isn’t doing much with that layer of drama.
Instead, the focus is on Trina obsessing over keeping her parents together.
Trina is an adult who needs to let Portia and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) make their own decisions, but she’s making it her mission to keep their marriage intact and stand against Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
It just seems like a waste of airtime for Trina to be doing all this when she could have a real story of her own.
3) Kristina
Now that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has wrapped up her role in the Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) kidnapping saga, what’s next for her?
Kristina hasn’t had a romance since “Blaze” aka Allison “Allie” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) left town, so maybe it’s time for her to get one.
Due to the fire at Charlie’s Pub, Kristina faced a career setback, too. Perhaps there’s another opportunity for a reset and a new passion to pursue.
Whatever the case, Kristina could use a fresh direction to head in, so we’ll bring you updates on any story-related news ahead for her.
