Regardless, this whole situation could leave Spinelli rethinking things a bit. Spinelli might see just how much Nathan and James need to make up for lost time, which could lead to James going to live with his dad sooner than expected.

James could land in some danger down the road depending on where Nathan’s storyline goes from here.
