General Hospital spoilers and updates pose two questions-number one, is Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) really dead, and number two, is he returning to the ABC soap?
There have been several “anvils” dropped in dialogue over the past couple of weeks, so might Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) son be returning?
Did The Show Just Tease Morgan’s Return With Those “Anvils” Dropped Recently?
The ABC soap often experiences cycles, and there can be long stretches where they forget that Carly and Sonny only had one biological son, Sonny adopted Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
He was named Morgan after Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), of course-then suddenly, we may have several mentions of Morgan within a single week, occasionally even within the same episode.
Currently, we find ourselves in that latter phase; this leads us to wonder if the show is hinting at the impending return of a beloved offspring.
With the return of the so-called “dead” Britt Westbourne, (Kelly Thiebaud) it’s important to remember that anything could happen.
Even though at least twice Morgan has appeared as a ghost (or his father’s hallucination) in the past couple of years, they could still resurrect him- no body was ever found!
Morgan Was Born On The Air, Carly Birthed Him Completely Natural After Sonny Shot Her!
Morgan entered the world under unusual circumstances. Sonny shot Carly (then Tamara Braun) while she was pregnant, shortly after her escape from Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) panic room.
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) discovered and rescued her, and promptly dumped Ric! Carly had then been abducted by Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), and Sonny fired at Lorenzo to save Carly, but the bullet landed in her head!
Later, when Morgan was a pre-teen, Carly (now Laura Wright) had her then-husband, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), adopt Morgan after Michael Corinthos (now Rory Gibson) was shot in the head.
Michael fell into a coma but recovered-Carly had Jax adopt him to protect Morgan from Sonny’s adversaries.
What Is The Truth About Morgan?
However, don’t even think about telling Carly that her on-and-off relationships with Sonny put her children at risk-she despises that notion, Carly would never, EVER do anything to harm her beloved children.
That’s precisely why she wants Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) kept away from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Even though she has ended things with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), they are still far safer with Michael.
With all the talk about Morgan recently, what if he isn’t truly gone; what if he makes a comeback? And what if, at that point, Carly can no longer ignore the harm Sonny has inflicted on his cherished family?
