General Hospital Star Cameron Mathison Breaks Silence on Heartbreaking News About His Ex-Wife Vanessa
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is at the center of a major storyline, even if he currently can’t do more than blink thanks to Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) drug doses.
Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is supplying a paralytic that mimics a stroke, so Willow plans on keeping Drew in this locked-in state until she can score some leverage to keep him quiet.
Drew’s marriage to Willow has obviously fallen apart in a big way, so we’ll see what happens with these two moving forward.

As for Drew’s portrayer, Cameron Mathison had to deal with some relationship issues of his own.
Of course, Cameron’s romantic problems were far less extreme, but they brought some heartache regardless.
Back in July 2024, Cameron Mathison and Vanessa Mathison made an announcement about their romantic split.
The pair revealed that they had called it quits after 22 years of marriage, so that news came as a shock to many fans.
Cameron recently took part in Jennie Garth and iHeartPodcasts’ “I Choose Me” live summit, which gave him a chance to open up to Us Weekly about his post-divorce life.
Cameron confirmed that it wasn’t his decision to end the marriage, but he obviously still cares about Vanessa and wishes her the best.
With that in mind, Cameron made it clear that he keeps things amicable and that his kids appreciate his efforts to remain a loving family.
The GH star also talked about entering the world of dating apps, which Cameron found rather overwhelming.
Cameron acknowledged that he wasn’t used to having to put himself out there like when it came to meeting potential new partners.
“I was also trying to distract [myself] from a broken heart. … I met a lot of amazing people, one in particular that became, like, a more committed sort of situation, but at the same time, I hadn’t been ready for anything more serious,” Cameron admitted.
Cameron ultimately felt the need to take a step back from dating apps.

In the end, Cameron confirmed that he had to look out for himself and figure out what his heart was open to.
“It was a bit much for me,” Cameron said. “I need time to heal and do my thing.”
General Hospital spoilers say Cameron still has some great material coming up on the ABC soap, so stay tuned for Drew’s next chapter with Willow.
