Has Days of Our Lives Lost Two More of Salem’s Finest?

Salem P.D. just might be losing two of its own — fulltime, that it. As Days of Our Lives viewers, if you were watching the closing credits closely, as we know many of you do, during the March 30th episode, Galen Gering and Elia Cantu’s names landed along with others that are considered recurring characters. So, does that mean they have been taken off contract with the Peacock soap?

With many stars coming and going, it leaves one to wonder what’s ahead for these two, especially Gering, who has played Rafe on the show since 2008. As for Cantu, she first brought Jada on the scene in 2022 and made a home for her character in Salem and we have to say, both would be very much missed.

However, since the streaming series tapes way in advance, around 10 months to be exact, as Soap Opera Digest learned from a Days of Our Lives spokesperson, “We never comment on actor contract status but, rest assured, Rafe and Jada are still in Salem.”

So, eagle-eyed fans… If yesterday’s changeup in the credits had you thinking, well, you were not alone. But no matter what their fate, it’s clear that Salem hasn’t seen the end of Rafe and Jada — for now, anyway. Speaking of which, if you missed it, General Hospital sweetheart and fan favorite Sofia Mattsson (ex-Sasha) will be “making her way to Salem early next year!”
