Is GH Jason Wrong to Abandon Danny? GH Fans Lash Out Over Dad Putting Britt Above Son

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is determined to save Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) from the awful situation she’s stuck in, but his decision comes with sacrifices.

Of course, one of those sacrifices involves walking away from Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and leaving him with another guardian.

Jason obviously wouldn’t be going if Britt’s life wasn’t at stake since he hates the idea of hurting Danny in any way.

Nevertheless, this is something Jason feels he must do, so Danny’s going to suffer for it.

On social media, some GH fans have been understanding about Jason’s choice, but others feel it’s wrong for him to abandon Danny like this.

Many viewers are lashing out over Jason putting Britt above his own son, especially since he’s the only living parent Danny has left.

Losing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was hard on Danny, so Jason previously wanted to step up and be a more involved parent.

Now Jason plans on running off to play hero for Britt, so Danny’s going to have a rough time in Port Charles without him.

Danny has already had to deal with too many separations from his father over the years.

Although Danny is growing up fast, he’s still a young teen who needs his dad’s guidance.

Jason is grateful to know that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and others on canvas will be around to support Danny while he’s not around.

However, Danny’s still going to feel a void in his heart without Jason there on a daily basis.

Jason’s decision could have unintended consequences if Danny becomes bitter and acts out due to his potential abandonment issues.

There’s a good chance Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is going to catch on and make a mess of Jason’s scheme with Britt, so that could become another reason Jason’s kept off canvas.
